ISSRA Announces 5th World Silambam Championship 2026

The International Silambam and Sports Research Association is proud to announce the 5th World Silambam Championship, scheduled for January 15-20, 2026, in Chennai, India. This prestigious event will bring together practitioners from over 35 countries to compete in various categories including traditional forms, combat demonstrations, and team events.

The championship will feature both open and traditional categories, with special competitions for youth participants aged 10-18. Registration opens December 1, 2024, with early bird discounts available until January 31, 2025.
